Dr Shimrit Ilana Ziv
Psychiatrist & Paediatrician
Dr Shimrit Ziv is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, a Perinatal Psychiatrist, and a Paediatrician. She works in Cambridgeshire both in private practice and for the NHS.
Among her recent positions, Dr Ziv was the lead Consultant of an adolescent inpatient unit in Cambridge and led an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) service within the NHS. Dr Ziv is involved nationally in psychiatry education. She is the training director of Psychiatry Advanced Clinical Practitioners in East of England, she is a member of the equivalence committee of The Royal College of Psychiatry, and she teaches medical students at The University of Cambridge. Dr Ziv’s research focuses on early identification of trauma and ASD.
Dr Ziv offers full psychiatric assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and young adults facing emotional difficulties, eating disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions. She delivers pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, play therapy, parental training as well as full diagnostic assessment for ADHD and Autism.
